It's been four years since I opened LosiBK2.com. In that time we've seen:

- A vibrant user base grow to 1500+ users post over 17000 messages.
- Professional racers have been regular visitors dispensing their best advice to those who asked for it.
- A highly reliable system hosting pictures, stories, events, and healthy R/C related discussion.

I want to thank Jesse and Casper who have been regular contributers to the success of LosiBK2.com.
There are so many others of you that have been regular visitors and active members of our little
community that I can't list each of you by name, but I know who you are. So thanks for being part of the team.

So now for the reasons behind the close:

The prime issue is that R/C has passed me by. When I opened the forums, I was the President of CRCRC and an active racer.
Two years after that time, I pretty much stopped racing, but still had viable knowledge to share. Since then, so many things have changed,
and without being an active racer, my personal knowledge and interest in the related activities such as using an R/C forum became dated--quick.

The second reason is that the spam bot problem had gotten so out of control that no matter what mechanisms I put in place, I still had to go
through the forums on a daily basis looking for their filthy posts, deleting them and their user accounts.
If I were a regular full-time admin on the system, perhaps I would have been able to get something put in place to stem the tide,
but as you all know, this isn't my full time job. The only fix I could find that allowed you--the members--to enjoy a spam free environment
was to change the system to a closed system ie No new signups. Even now, there are 800+ inactive accounts which means 800 accounts I would have
to sift through to find the legitimate requests.

Finally, As this hobby has passed me by, my desire to moderate and manage the system has passed me by as well.

So there you have it, nothing sinister, it's just that time moves along and creates change. Nothing more than that.
